INTEGRATED PRINT & DIGITAL ADVERTISING
The print advertisement pictured above was produced for GameGuard Outdoors as a method to drive print readership to register for weekly email communications, containing weekly deals and special offers.  Unique coupon codes allowed the collection of metrics for list growth and ROI based upon each publication.  Web and mobile advertising through AdRoll and Facebook, rounded-out the campaign.

OUTDOOR ADVERTISING
The outdoor ad pictured above was produced for GameGuard Outdoors to leverage their partnership with Anheuser-Busch and bolster awareness of the GameGuard brand.  The ad was intended to highlight the use of the GameGuard camouflage pattern, printed on special edition Busch and Busch Light beer cans.  The setting and lighting were intended to paint the picture of a perfect Texas day, and feature landscape elements which mirror the design elements found in the company's proprietary camouflage pattern.

LIFESTYLE ADVERTISING
This advertisement was designed specifically for large format, backlit Duratrans locations and had a unique, minimalist design requirement that involved distilling the watch into its key elements, the face and clasp.    |   Ben Gilliand Visual Arts ©2001
LIFESTYLE ADVERTISING
As with any watch or jewelry ad, there is intense scrutiny on the lighting and overall perfection of the final image.  Careful retouching was performed to ensure the watch surfaces displayed a flawless finish.    |   Ben Gilliand Visual Arts ©2001
LIFESTYLE ADVERTISING
The non-bleed, double page spread pictured above was produced as student work, to meet specific class goals for a monochromatic, design-heavy layout with strong eye flow.  (As a side note, this is one of the oldest pieces I show, but I still like the layout and I hope a client will eventually be interested in this type of approach.)

LIFESTYLE ADVERTISING
The detail shot above demonstrates the level of quality characteristic of my photo illustrations.  In nearly every instance, the final photo illustrations needed to be suitable for large format reproduction for use in trade show properties, outdoor advertising or wall graphics at customer facilities.

LIFESTYLE ADVERTISING
This advertisment required this particular aircraft to be depicted in a dynamic attitude over the Great Barrier Reef.  Fortunately, we had the opportunity to photograph the actual aircraft in Tennessee.  As with all photo illustrations, careful attention was placed on matching lighting conditions and background reflections to yield a realistic final scene.

OUTDOOR ADVERTISING
The image above is from a series of outdoor ads produced for the Singapore Airshow, regarded as the Paris Airshow of Asia.
Bell Helicopter needed to display their two headlining aircraft, the commercial 429 and the military AH-1Z in one plausible aerial scene.   Both aircraft, the sky and the landscape were all individually composited, including the custom paint schemes shown on each aircraft.

TARGETED AUDIENCE ADVERTISING
The single page ad pictured above was specifically designed to target a select customer and make an impactful statement about the product’s exceptional suitability.  A background photo of the rugged jungle terrain was supplied by a regional sales rep and the two aircraft depicted in the final ad were carefully retouched to represent the customer’s paint scheme, markings and mission configuration.    |   Bell Helicopter Textron ©2012

BELL 407AH, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Ad Imagery
This photo illustration was performed for Bell Helicopter to represent the potential future application of the 407AH by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.   A donor photograph of the Bell 407AH demonstrator ship was carefully airbrushed and retouched to represent the RBAF markings and proposed configuration.
