This photo illustration was performed for Bell Flight as a large format tradeshow graphic featuring the company's new 525 Super-Medium helicopter.  Bell Flight provided an in-house 3D rendering that served as the basis for the final photo illustration.  The rotor blades were carefully illustrated by hand, and photographic details were lifted from an assortment of real photos to achieve the requested result.

BELL / SUBARU, 412EPX - TRADESHOW IMAGERY
This large format photo illustration was performed for Bell Flight and Subaru Aerospace featuring the partnership's 412EPX Medium Twin helicopter. Deceptively simple, this illustration required a significant level of photorealistic airbrushing to achieve the final result.  Several people have asked what steps were involved.  1) Remove existing markings and mask source photo from background.  2) Build photorealistic crew door window.  3)  Hand airbrush BLR FastFin and Strakes.  4)  Illustrate new paint scheme.  5)  Hand airbrush new Main and Tail Rotor.  6)  Locate suitable photographic elements to make Aeronautical Accessories High Skids with step.  7)  Add markings and perform final airbrushing.  8) Build background from six source photos to create final scene.

BELL HELICOPTER, 206L-4, NOSE - GLOSSY MARKETING IMAGERY
